’ray Bucknell: It’s our way of saying, “Hooray, Bucknell!” You’ll see it proudly displayed on shirts, bumper stickers and reusable tote bags around campus and across the country.

The Gates: The Christy Mathewson Gates are named after the baseball legend and Bucknell alum. You’ll walk through them twice — once at Orientation and again when you graduate.

Special Events: Kick off the semester at Fall Fest, grab a laugh at the Center Stage stand-up showcase, gain a new perspective at the Student Lecture series or dance all night at the Chrysalis Ball. Bucknell students choose the headliners for these events, with recent guests including Nick Offerman, Wanda Sykes and A Boogie wit da Hoodie.

Orange Quote
“I like how Bucknell is a really tight-knit community. I feel like I kind of needed that going into college, because I’m a first-generation college student, and I wanted to be in a place that would help me in that process.”

“Talking to my friends at other schools, they’re like, ‘Oh, I’m going to my econ class, and there’s 350 kids in there.’ I could not do that. I like being able to go up to my professors, and they know your name.”
