And what if you don’t find the exact club you’re after? We’ll give you funding to start your own. When Hamza Shittu ’21, a computer science major from Capitol Heights, Md., arrived at Bucknell, he wanted to start a guitar club where students could meet, learn and perform together. Bucknell gave his new group funding to purchase guitars, and Amp Soul Guitarists was born.
“I was able to find my niche,” Hamza says. “This is a space that I created — a platform for students who want to learn, people who already play and people who have been playing for years.”
